How does it work?
We created a folding technology that makes storing the bag both intuitive and fun. By inserting pleats into the ultra-performance fabric, the bag basically folds itself. All you need to do is:
- Hold the bag upside down
- Straighten the fabric with your hand
- Put the two casings together and you’re done.

How do I close my Smartbag?
The SmartBag has a patented smartforld technology that makes it magically fold itself. So no more stuffing and fumbling. Basically, all you need to do is hold the SmartBag upside down by the small tag, gently shake it and drop it onto your bottom hand. With a little practice, you will be able to close your SmartBag with one swift movement into its compact size. It’s easy.

Will the folding technology last? I.e. won’t the pleats wear out fast?
The SmartBag is made to last. This also goes for the folding technology. You can use the SmartBag hundreds of times, if you keep it folded neatly when not in use. If you do this, the pleats will reset and the SmartBag will be ready for use when you are. We have happy customers that have used their bag daily for several years and it still works great.

Is the SmartBag strong enough to carry my groceries?
Definitely. Our memory fabric uses ultra high tenacity yarn from the extreme sports industry and was created to withstand extreme conditions. It is thinner than paper yet extremely durable, plus it’s tear and water resistant. We have put a lot of effort into sourcing the right materials and optimizing the design. That is why your SmartBag can open and close hundreds of times, while remembering its original shape. To maximize longevity, we advise you keep your SmartBag folded when not in use.

How much weight can it handle?
The SmartBag is made with ultra performance high tenacity fabric from the extreme sport industry, so it can stand its ground. It can easily handle up to 20 pounds. We do advise to not store heavy items in the SmartBag for a longer time, as it could affect foldability. Therefore, always keep your SmartBag folded when not in use for optimal longevity.

What is the SmartBag made of?
The SmartBag has a singular design and is crafted with a minimal amount of materials. The two hard casings that form the sleeve are made from a bioplastic that is sustainable yet super strong. The fabric is made with ultra-performance high tenacity triple ripstop polyester. This allows us to use much thinner fabric than most other bags out there, but it outperforms most in strength and durability. This material is originally made for the extreme sports industry, so it’s made to withstand intense conditions.

Can I wash the SmartBag?
The SmartBag is very easy to clean: you can hand wash the bag with soap and cold or lukewarm water. Avoid hot water, as this will affect the foldability. You can also machine wash it with cold water.

How can I recycle the SmartBag?
Our bag is 100% recyclable. When its lifecycle is up, simply dispose of it along with your other plastic recyclables so it can be used again to create new products.

What if it gets wet?
Thanks to the SmartBag’s ultra-performance fabric, your bag will remain intact even when in contact with water. The fabric is water resistant, so when wet, just hang it out to dry and it will be ready again in no time.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
